I thought I would share this great site I found through a friend:
Where They Stand
Since it is now that time again, it's great to have resources like this that put out the information voters need that dosen't have them searching around for it.
Check it.

So, the countdown is on- my sister arrives home May 2 and before she comes, I want to do something really special with her room-to-be. A few ideas have came to mind, but one that I am particularly stuck to, is wallpaper. Since I live in Saskatoon, and the chances of finding some here are thin to none, I thought I would search my online resources.
Home Depot has this "grown up" option:

Jocelyn loves zebra print. It actually looks pretty sophisticated when its paired with classy furniture on this picture from Sears:

I found this beauty off Umbra:

Welcoming Neighbours.

Since Dustin and I have moved in our new neighbourhood I have really been curious about my neighbors. I know the couple on the one side are Fhilipino and the guy's name is Joe because I have waved at him once my way home from work. I know they must have a kid because one day I saw their mini van open with a car seat.
A couple lives on the other side, and they are young like us, because Dustin has seen the guy outside barbequing and his wife/common law/girlfriend drives a coupe so they must not have any kids. (Thats just a guess...)
I thought food of some kind would be a great excuse to go over and meet them.
So, since I have so many blogs to inspire me to be more domestic- I settled on something that was easy, but tried and true. I remember my Mom making this when I was little:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
9 cups Crispix cereal (any flavor)
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar

Use a big bowl as it comes to alot of ingredients... kind of a huge mess.

Add the butter, peanut butter and chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowell and put it for one minute.

Stir in the vanilla and stir well before mixing in with the cereal.

Once the mixture is in with the cereal, sprinkle your icing sugar in bits, stirring as you pour in.

Hope this makes the neighbors happy...

Since Dustin and I are giving away cupcakes for our wedding day, we are not doing the traditional layer cake. But since we still want something to do the traditional "cutting the cake" we are deciding between all of them pictured... a hydrangea cake- in our wedding colours of course, the pretty pink ruffle cake, the simple white cake with a few garden flowers placed on top or the elegant rose cake? Hmm tough decision. Any decision is tough if it involves desserts.

I never thought the day would come...

That these would be my choice reading materials beside my bed.

(And your asking about "Black Heels and Tractor Wheels"? A nice light read, in comparison to my usual biographies. It was dramatic and goofy at times, but a nice change. It was also nice to read a little about the face behind one of my favourite blogs, one I can spend hours on a Sunday laughing by myself to.)
